Communication is Key
As we foster stakeholder relationships, we will focus on communication that is ongoing and informative. Here are some of the ways we will communicate with you:
You can access our website for updates. We will also update our Facebook page on a weekly basis. If you have not already, please “like” our page so that you will receive information through your news feed.
We will continue to use our phone system, Blackboard Connect, to send messages to your phone. Please make sure to let us know if you changed your phone number so you will be able to receive the messages.
Teachers will be providing you with their email addresses and classroom DoJo accounts so you will be able to communicate with them.
As you know ‘it takes a village to raise a child.’ So we would like to encourage you to volunteer at our school. Our Parent Volunteer Coordinator, Donna Moon, will be conducting volunteer trainings in the near future. Please look out for the information so you can join us as a volunteer. We love our volunteers!
Our wonderful PTO would like to have more parents participate this year. The PTO is instrumental in providing so many great opportunities for our community including our Fall Festival, Holiday Shop, Father/Daughter Dance, and several sock hops. We appreciate any support you can give us. Ms. Lataya Cochran will be the contact person for this organization.
We are so glad that you have chosen Union Point STEAM Academy School to nurture and enrich your child. We look forward to working with you to make this a successful and productive school year. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns or comments.
